She earned a bachelor's degree in English from Princeton University in 1992. She published her first novel The Testing of Luther Albright in 2005.

In 2020, she donated over $5 billion to charity. Her philanthropic endeavors resulted in her being featured in TIME Magazine's 100 Most Influential People of 2020. 

Family Life

She married Amazon founder Jeff Bezos in 1993, but they later separated in January of 2019. They have four children together. Scott remarried high school chemistry teacher Dan Jewett.
