She killed her mother in June 2015. In July, she accepted a plea bargain and was sentenced to ten years in jail.

Her parents were Dee Dee and Rod Blanchard. She met her ex-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn via the internet. She announced her engagement to her fiancé Ken in April 2019.
