Mexican soap opera actress notable for her roles in films such as Elisa (1979) and Corrupcion (1984). She's also known for her telenovela roles in Maria Mercedes (early 1990s) and Mundo de Fieras (early 2000s). She served as a congresswoman for the PRI from 2015 to 2018.

Family Life

She was born in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico, to Jorge Salinas Perez Tejada and Carmen Lozano Viramontes. Her marriage to Pedro Plascencia lasted from 1956 until his death and produced children named Pedro, Maria and Jorge.
